To be honest most "martial"arts movies coming out of hong kong theses days is nothing but soft porn. They’re trying to be more western I think. The only GOOD one i’ve seen recently was called REBEL. It was seti in the RO’s or 30’s viet nam and starred dustin nyuen who played officer ioki on 21 jumpstreet. The fight scenes were off the hook. Man I saw one a few wks ago that was eaqually awesome and I mean the fight scenes were off the hook and guess what I can’t remember the name. I can go look @ my blocbuster rentals and send you a msg or edit my answer.

you need to check out Hard Boiled. John Woo directed it. It was his last Hong Kong film. It stars Chow-Yun-Fat. Its insane. Its like an asian Die Hard. Tons of action, lots of guns (never ending ammo). Came out in 1992 so its not a recent movie but its on of my favs.
Also another asian movie you need to check out is Battle Royale. Its about a bunch of kids on an island and the last one to survive gets to go home. Its not a Martial Arts film but its really really good. Kinda weird and disturbing cause they are just teenagers and they are forced to kill each other (and for the most part their friends)in order to survive.
hope you like them
